Dear St. Thomas Families:

We are excited to kick off Catholic Schools Week 2025! This is a special week where Catholic schools nationwide celebrate being communities of faith, excellence, and service. Thank you for your commitment to our school and being a part of the St. Thomas family. We look forward to celebrating and praying together all week long. Please see the schedule for themes and activities for the upcoming week.

¡Estamos muy contentos de dar inicio a la Semana de las Escuelas Católicas 2025! Esta es una semana especial en la que las escuelas católicas de todo el país celebran ser comunidades de fe, excelencia y servicio. Gracias por su compromiso con nuestra escuela y ser parte de la familia de Santo Tomás. Esperamos celebrar y rezar juntos toda la semana. Sunday (1/26): Celebrating Our Parish

  • Catholic Schools benefit all year long from their religious guidance, prayers, and support parishes provide.

  • We encourage families to attend our school mass at 9:30am. Students wearing their formal uniform will receive a free dress pass. 

  • OPEN HOUSE on campus from 10:30am-1:00pm. Light refreshments will be served. New and current families are invited!

  • Scholastic Book Fair hosted in the library from 10:30am-1:00pm!  

Monday (1/27): Celebrating Our Community

  • A central aspect of Catholic education is doing special things as a school community. Let us come together to make a difference. 

  • Attire: Royals gear (t-shirt or sweater) with free dress bottoms. 

  • Blanket Drive begins today and ends on Friday. New blankets only. 

  • Students will make thank you cards for our community partners.

Tuesday (1/28): Celebrating Vocations

  • By focusing on faith, knowledge and service, Catholic schools prepare children to use their God-given talents to the fullest later in life. 

  • Career dress-up day for students. (Students may dress up as who they want to be when they grow up. This is encouraged but not mandatory.)

  • Vocation talks and/or videos. 

  • Students will make cards for Fr. Mario, Fr. Freddy, and the Sisters 

Wednesday (1/29): Celebrating Families

  • Parents, guardians, and family members play a vital role in Catholic education as they instill values and expectations for academic excellence in their children at home. 

  • Family Picnic from 10:30am-12:00pm (12:15pm Dismissal)

  • Parents may bring food, chairs, blankets for the family picnic. 

  • Students may match outfits with their family members, teachers, or friends. 

Thursday (1/30): Celebrating Your Students

  • On this day, we celebrate our students and recognize their many accomplishments. 

  • FREE Free Dress Day – Twin day! Students may match a buddy or group of friends. 

  • Donut and hot chocolate sale during recess! ($4 combo)

  • Classes will have fun buddy activities to celebrate throughout the day. 

Friday (1/31): Celebrating Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers

  • Today we honor and thank the teachers, administrators, & staff for their work.

  • Friday School Mass – Family members are invited to join us for mass.  

  • Students may dress up as a teacher/staff member!

  • Teacher/volunteer recognition assembly & card making will take place. 

  • 12:15pm dismissal. THERE WILL BE NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
